PATIENT RIGHTS

RIGHTS OF THE PATIENT AND THEIR RELATIVES

Right to benefit from services

Every individual who applies to our hospital has the right to benefit from all services, regardless of language, religion, race or sect, and to be informed about the diagnosis and treatment opportunities offered by our hospital and how to access these services. While the patient is in the diagnosis or treatment process in a center with which our institution or institution has contracted, he may request the continuation of his procedures in another institution.

Right to information and approval

Our patients have the right to receive full information in a language that they can understand, including the proposed medical interventions and the potential risks or benefits of each intervention, the alternatives of the proposed interventions, the result of not having treatment, and the process to proceed with. Our patients have the right to decide on the treatment to be applied after informing them about the risk of serious side effects, risk of death, problems with convalescence, and chance of success, apart from medical and legal obligations. If our patient exercises this right, he/she is deemed to have accepted that he/she approves the procedures to be performed. Our patients have the right to receive information about the correct assessment and treatment of pain. Our patients and their families have the right to receive information about how they choose to donate organs and other tissues. Our patients can examine the medical records containing information about their health status, directly or through their attorney or legal representative, and take a copy. These records can only be viewed by those directly involved in the patient's treatment. Except for the cases required by the measures to be taken by the competent authorities according to the provisions of the relevant legislation and the nature of the disease; The patient may request that he or his family or relatives not be informed about his or her health status.

Our patients have the right to choose and change the health institution and organization, provided that the procedures and conditions stipulated by the legislation to which they are subject to are complied with. The patient can change the health institution, provided that it is in accordance with the referral system determined by the legislation. However, it is essential that the patient's physician be informed about whether changing the institution will endanger life and whether the disease will worsen, and that there should be no medical inconvenience in changing the health institution in terms of life-threatening conditions. Except for emergency cases, those who are affiliated with any social security institution and do not comply with the referral chain stipulated by the legislation, cover the wage differences by themselves.

Right to refuse and stop treatment

Except for legally obligatory cases, the patient has the right to refuse or stop the treatment that is planned or is being applied. However it is the patient's responsibility in case of negative consequences that may arise. The possible consequences of the patient's refusal of treatment are explained by the physician and a written document is obtained showing that it is understood. If the patient refuses the treatment with a document, he is dismissed from our institution. A patient who previously refused treatment has the right to receive the necessary medical care and treatment in case of re-applying.
